          TitleCash book. Contains payments for burial plots varying in price depending on location, infant, and whether the deceased was a parishioner or 'outsider'. Also includes payments to Jim [?grave digger], incumbent's fees, contributions to churchwardens' fund (pp.2-3), pew rents from 1947 until they ceased in 1953, with correspondence regarding their cessation (pp.8-33), contributions towards maintenance of graves, in detached burial ground, 1947-1967 (pp.50-67), except for graves of Sarah and Edward Ryde in the churchyard (p.61). This book carries the initials 'H R' and the signature of Humphrey Ryde, longstanding churchwarden of St Peter's and grandson of Edward Ryde, surveyor of old Woking.

Also includes purchases of equipment, church plate and bibles. Pasted intermittently throughout the book are official copies of Order in Council, 1959-1961, authorizing the alteration of parish boundaries in Woking, including those for St Peter [see 5213/1/3-6 for map and minutes], and All Souls [see 5213/1/7-9].       Scope:Originally a corrugated iron mission church, All Soul's, Sutton Green and its district was created in 1920, out of St Peter's, Old Woking. It was transferred back to St Peter's in 1961.
