Descriptive Information about the Record (click to expand) Provenance Records were deposited by the Rector and Parochial Church Council in 1949 and by the Clerk of Shere Parish Council in 1966, 1967 and 1968
-The records The records deposited in 1949 (P10/1,2) include poor rate assessments, 1776-1844, overseers' accounts, 1776-1836, and a number of less common records relating to poor relief administration in the period 1820-1836 (including workhouse accounts 1830-1836), as well as highway rate books and surveyors' accounts from the first half of the nineteenth century.
The records deposited in 1966, 1967 and 1968 include minutes and accounts, 1895-1954, and papers relating to the swimming baths, 1892-1955, and to parish lands, 1921-1958.
