Descriptive Information about the Record (click to expand) Provenance The parish registers 1603-1895 (P3/1/25-38) were deposited by the Rector and Parochial Church Council in 1965. The remainder of the records were deposited by the Clerk of the Parish Council in 1958 and 1960.
-The records Among the records are churchwardens' accounts and vouchers 1725-1878, including accounts for rebuilding the steeple after damage by lightning in 1721, vestry minutes 1790-1829, and parish council minutes 1894-1944. Rate books and accounts of the overseers of the poor and surveyors of the highways survive for the years 1753-1908, whilst more unusual records include notes on the ages and occupations of the inhabitants, prepared for the census returns of 1801, 1811 and 1821, and militia returns, 1803.
