    Provenance
    Deposited by the Vicar and Parochial Church Council in November 1982 and May 1984.

    Introduction
    The parish of Wonersh included the village and present parish of Shamley Green until December 1881 when Shamley Green was designated a 'District Chapelry' and subsequently a separate parish.

      • sub series: WON/15/ - Wonersh 'Lawnsmead' Infants School
        Scope:This was built in 1890 by voluntary subscription, at the instigation of the Rev EE Body, Vicar of Wonersh and his wife. Support in the form of donations was gicen by the National Society and the West Surrey Diocesan Society. The first mistress was Mrs Green. The school closed on 28 Mar 1924 and its pupils were transferred to Shamley Green, Bramley and Shalford schools. After closure of the school the school building was used as a Parish Room by Wonersh Church Council and subsequently Wonersh PCC
