Descriptive Information about the Record (click to expand) Provenance Deposited on long loan by the Sequestrators and Parochial Church Council in February 1985 and in June and July 1986.
-Introduction An iron church was constructed in 1885 in Ash Vale to serve part of the parish of Ash. The church was approved for the holding of Divine Service and Baptisms (ASHV/7/1). In 1906 a new church was built on the site and from this date the church kept the sole record of baptisms.
In 1914 a licence was issued to the Rector of Ash allowing marriages to be performed at St Mary (ASHV/7/2). Ash Vale was made a Conventional District in 1963 (ASHV/7/3) and a Parish in 1972 (ASHV/7/5).
