Descriptive Information about the Record (click to expand) Provenance Deposited on long loan by the Vicar and Parochial Church Council in November 1983, April and June 1984 and February 1990.
-Introduction The church of St Michael at York Town was built in 1851. A district, consisting of the North East corner of Frimley was assigned to it on 26 January 1852. At the same time the Bishop determined that baptisms, churchings and burials could take place there (see FRIM/15/3(2)). The licence for marriages is dated 1 July 1875 (FRIM/15/3(3)).
A daughter church at Camberley, dedicated to St George, opened in 1893, and closed on 31 December, 1966.
