HER 1202 - Mound, possibly a barrow, Holt Wood
A mound resembling a barrow partially overlies the western bank of the medieval earthwork in Holt Wood (HER 1192) It is seven feet high with a central depression. It is probably spoil from the pond "Smugglers Hole", (shown on Ordnance Survey maps) which it adjoins, but until the precise nature of the earthwork is understood the identification of the mound is uncertain.
