HER 14220 - Milton Place manor house, Egham
A group of buildings are shown here on the Egham tithe map of the 1840s and the Rocque map of 1765. It was probably a subordinate manor during the medieval period and is first recorded as Middelton in 1201. In 1617 it included a house, gardens, orchard, three courts, kitchen garden, barn, two stables, ox house, cow house, two henhouses, two hog houses, two pigeon houses, and a malting house. A Georgian style building was recently restored and used as conference centre.
