HER 16583 - Rydinghurst gardens, Cranleigh
The estate of Rydinghurst (including the surrounding corn fields) is likely to have medieval origins and belonged to the Manor of Utworth. The house is dated to the 17th century and gardens encompassed formal gardens, a kitchen garden and ornamental grounds. Gravelled terraces, herbaceous border and lawns with ancient conifers were also present.
