HER 1808 - St Peter and St Paul’s Church, including Saxon aspects
St Peter and St Paul’s Church. East wall of nave etc pre-Conquest, central tower, transepts and chancel 1100-1120. South chapel etc circa 1200, nave arcades circa 1190 Good Norman and 13th century windows. No Saxon work visible except by climbing to belfry stage of central tower although an original Saxon nave and chancel beneath the present tower seem proved.
