HER 2049 - Roman building material, Fetcham
There are Roman bricks and tiles visible in the walls of the nave and chancel of St Mary's Church, Fetcham (HER 88), said to be from a Roman villa uncovered at Fetcham many years ago. There is no substantiation for this “villa”, it has probably "developed" from the evidence of the Roman material in the church.
