HER 2083 - Romano-British Occupation, Capel
As a result of excavations at Anstiebury Hill directed by F H Thompson in 1972 and 1973 (see HER 23) it is argued that a brief reoccupation of the site, probably of a peaceful nature, took place in the pre-Flavian period. The Roman pottery found has been assigned to a date range of circa AD50-60.
