HER 2495 - Probably Medieval Stock Enclosure Earthwork, Banstead Heath
Scheduled Monument
One of three rectangular bank and ditch enclosures of strong profile and in good condition, situated on the northern part of Banstead Heath (see also HER 902, 2496). Consisting of a bank and outer ditch, it is probably a medieval stock enclosure or pound. It has a causewayed entrance on east side. Old trial trenches are apparent across south-west corner, it is overgrown but in fair condition. See also HER 2494 and 897. Scheduled Monument.
