HER 7372 - REMAINS OF GROTTO AND ROCKWORK BRIDGE ON GROTTO ISLAND, Painshill Park, Cobham

Grotto and bridge. Late 18th century. Brick walls with boulder and shell covering, tufa and Derbyshire spa stone to interior. Circular, originally domed, roof now collapsed with 3 arched entrances to lake front. Tunnel to left leading to arched rockwork bridge over an arm of the lake, landing stage below. Listing NGR: TQ0944859972
