HER 96 - Stoke D'Abernon Manor House, Stoke D'Abernon
Stoke D'Abernon Manor House, dating from the 16th-18th century. A large brick house, rebuilt in 1757, it incorporates fragments of a 16th century E-shaped building. Roger d'Abernon either built or occupied an already existing manor house on this site in about AD 1086.
