What was inside a house in Tudor times?
John Peto, a yeoman from Chiddingfold, died in 1608, at the end of the Tudor period. An inventory of his possessions was made as the law required. See below for a copy of the original document, a translation and other notes.These pages will give you some sources and ideas to use in the classroom.
