A tool used to make other kinds of stone tools by flaking. Fabricators date to all periods of prehistory and are usually made of flint, but can also be bone, wood or antler.  A Palaeolithic fabricator was found on Thursley Common and a chunky flint fabricator dating to the Bronze Age was also found at Thursley.
