East Horsley, The Lovelace Buildings: Octagon Lodge

Sometimes called Ranmore Lodge, this attractive little building lies to the
southeast of the Lovelace estate on Ranmore Common.

It was near here that Lovelace had a small railway line which carried timber down to a sawmill on the Turnpike Road (Epsom Road A246). This lay on the south side of the road opposite Dirtham Lane.
