Non Antiquity

This term is used to identify a feature that was thought to be a monument but is now disproved. This prevents erroneous identification as a monument in the future. Where a feature is known to be an antiquity, but archaeologists do not have enough evidence to know what sort, it is classified as a “SITE” in the HER.
