- Description: In 1888, Alfred William Mellersh, surveyor, and George Wyeth, currier, trustees of the late James Saunders (who died that year), conveyed the Globe and Lance beer house and adjoining land, Farncombe Street (see plan in -/1), to William Smith of Bramley, brewer; abstract of title (with a plan) and supplemental abstracts of title all dated 1888 of the trustees are at -/2-4.
In 1892, Wyeth, by the direction of Charles Saunders of Farncombe, labourer, conveyed a piece of land to the rear of the Globe and Lance (see plan in -/6) to Smith; abstract of title dated 1892 of Saunders to the property is at -/5 and includes a plan.
In Mar 1923, Bruford & Co Ltd of Pimlico and its Liquidators conveyed the Globe and Lance to Cobham United Breweries Ltd, also of Pimlico; and in Dec the same year Cobham United Breweries Ltd conveyed it to Watney Combe Reid & Co Ltd, of the Stag Brewery, Pimlico.
