Hawker Hurricane

The Hawker Hurricane MkIIA Z2389 was designed by Sydney Camm at the Kingston works and this example was built there in 1940.

The Hurricane formed the backbone of the R.A.F. during the Battle of Britain, accounting for 60% of the victories.

It was used in all theatres of war and was flown by pilots from many different nations including America, Soviet Union, Australia and Czechoslovakia.
