The University for the Creative Arts

Originally comprised of the art schools of Guildford, Farnham, Epsom, Rochester, Maidstone and Canterbury, the archives and special collections are available at all of the campuses. They hold:

  • the university’s institutional records dating from the late 19th century,
  • the archive of animator Bob Godfrey (Roland Frederick) producer of animation, such as Roobarb and Henry’s Cat,
  • Tessa Boffin archive (LGBTQ+ photographer in the 1980s/1990s),
  • the Working Press publishers archive, books by and about working class artists 1986-1996, and
  • the Diagram Group publishers archive, a group of graphic designers, writers, and illustrators.
