Woking Remembers: First World War Gallery

The gallery below has been created from pictures which appeared in the Woking News and Mail during the Great War (1914-1918). The photographs record some of the men and women from Woking who served in the First World War. Click on one of the thumbnail images to open a slide show.

The following spreadsheet contains orange highlights, these are details of individuals we do not have details for. We are interested to hear from anyone who has family connections with any of the men and women featured below or has any information about them. Please use the form at the end of the page to leave comments or e-mail us at [email protected]

    title – Woking Remembers: Gallery of First World War Soldiers

    Soldiers? rather a lot of men in Navy and RFC Uniform? And I won’t mention the ladies ….

      Thanks for pointing this out Pete. You are absolutely right the gallery includes images of naval and RFC personnel and women as well as men.
